Titanic: The Canadian connection

One of Canadian history's best kept secrets is the number of Canadians, many very rich and very famous, who where traveling on the Titanic its last fateful night. They include Hélène Baxter the widow of diamond Jim Baxter; Winnipeg tycoon Mark Fortune; Charles Melville Hays the President of the Grand Trunk Railway; Arthur Godfrey Peuchen a Major in the Queens Own Rifles and his long time friend Harry Markland Molson heir to the Molson empire.

In my just released book Titanic: The Canadian Connection, I attempted to chronicle the Titanic's last hours through the eye of some of her Canadian passengers, and to explain, who they were, why they were there and what ultimately happened to them.
